Shu Puer "Big Magic Forest", 2021
Volume
Note the girl on the cover - she is dressed in the traditional costume of the Jino people. These people harvested tea leaves in the spring and fall of 2021 at the old tea garden on Dalunshan Mountain, which is located in Xishuangbanna, Yunnan Province. In this garden, no fertilizers are used and the plants are grown under natural conditions, which triggers the defense mechanisms that form the special flavor, aroma and impact from the tea. This garden was planted in the 1960s and later in the 1980s hybrid varieties were planted.
In the second half of the twentieth century, the first large tea factories were organized in Yunnan. They produced tea from the raw material collected from the gardens on Dalunshan Mountain, which won the hearts of many tea lovers. This tea captures the development and flowering of Shu Pu'er technology in the last two decades of the twentieth century. High-quality raw materials combined with decades of classic Menghai fermentation technology give birth to the reference flavor of Shu Pu'er tea.
Listening to the warmed leaf, subtle scents of moss, wood and squat flowers in a subtropical forest, transporting us to the fairytale world depicted on the cover. A classic with reference flavor. There is nothing superfluous in it, it has all the qualities that are valued in shu puerh: no dryness in the mouth, pure bitterness transformed into sweetness (according to Hui gan), the infusion slips easily down the throat like silk, leaving sweetness (according to Sheng Jing) - all this testifies to the high quality of raw materials and sufficient aging, which influenced the formation of a special flavor.
