Sheng Puer Kuzhushan, from ancient trees, 2022
Volume
To make this tea, we took a leaf from the tea garden on Quzhushan Mountain in Jingu County. For the tea world, it is undoubtedly an iconic place in the region. The most valuable tea is harvested and made here.
These trees are called “rattan trees” because of the special shape of the shoots, which turn into long ornate twigs, due to the method of harvesting, when all but the last leaf on a branch is picked. Our friend Mr. He's tea garden was planted over 300 years ago, and his family has been tending it for generations.
This sheng pu'er fully reflects the original character of the tea from Quzhushan Mountain. The aroma has bright apple, floral and honey notes, a chill of menthol. The flavor is multifaceted, balanced, pleasant sweetness and refreshing aftertaste.
